Unification Information
The Greenfield Union School District is actively pursuing a unification with Greenfield High School. This initiative began in 2015 when members of the Greenfield community launched a petition in support of this goal. The proposed unification aims to enhance the educational experience for local students by providing a seamless continuum of services from preschool through 12th grade.
Additionally, this merger is expected to strengthen community identity and pride, foster cohesive educational pathways, promote fiscal efficiency in operations, and increase local governance for parents and community members within a single, unified district. This grassroots movement has achieved a major milestone. Ten years later, a hearing will be held before the State Board of Education on November 6, 2025, at which the community will seek approval for its petition. This page is intended to provide a detailed account of the history of unification as well as allow the community to submit letters of support for unification.
